Html Generator
Easily generate web pages complete with links, thumbnail images and caption text. Enter page text, set attributes, select images and click the "Create Page" pushbutton. Agave can upload the page and related graphic files for you. Create a web portfolio or private "light box" for an interested client. The web pages support the ability to view an enlarged image by clicking on the thumbnail.

FotofileThumbnail Capability
Agave offers a variety of methods for acquiring and managing your digital files. All that is really needed, is a high resolution source tiff file. Agave will take care of the rest by generating a medium resolution jpg and thumbnail. Import or link to a variety of file types including TIF, JPG and DNG. Copy and paste thumbnails directly from the Fotofile screen, into the body of an email.
















Graphic Management
The graphic management dialog provides an overview of all graphics linked to a Fotofile image record. It is also used to acquire graphics, generate thumbnails and manipulate IPTC data. Any file type can be linked to a Fotofile record. Use this dialog to link proprietary and camera specific raw file types, such as CRW, CR2,  NEF and DNG.













Batch Image Processing
The powerful Batch Processor scans a folder for graphics matching an existing Fotofile IDnumber. When a match is found, the path of the image is archived, a thumbnail and optionally, a medium-res jpeg is generated. Supported file formats include JPG, TIF as well as user defined custom raw formats such as NEF and CR2.. IPTC metadata is exported or imported as part of the process. Thumbnail and jpeg size and sharpness is user adjustable.

Some users prefer to name the graphic file ahead of time using an available Fotofile IDnumber as the file name. If this is the case, these images can be linked and a corresponding Fotofile record inserted automatically as part of the process. If IPTC data exists in the graphic, it will be used as Fotofile caption and keyword data. With either method, you will only need to type the caption and keyword data once. 




 
Keywords databaseCross Referencing Capability 
Agave 5.0 maintains a special database containing reference codes (keywords) and miscellaneous notes. This table enables  Fotofile database searches based on descriptive terms and notes that might not be found in the slide's caption text. When importing IPTC data, the reference codes field, as shown on this screen capture, is populated with the IPTC keywords.

Query 1Enhanced Search Engine
The powerful Agave 5.0 query form enabled you to search on reference codes & notes and/or label criteria. You can choose from a pick list of existing codes when entering reference code search criteria.

The Agave thumbnail browser is used to edit and save search results or label pool selections for a variety of purposes including the generation of  submissions, label printing and web pages using the Agave Html generator.

Electronic Submissions
With the full version Adobe AcrobatTM on your machine you easily generate and e-mail your client a thumbnail style electronic submission in pdf (portable document format).

Alternative PDF Writer
Agave 5.0 fully  supports PDF995, an inexpensive PDF generator which creates PDF e-subs at a fraction of the cost of the full version Acrobat.
