HTML Generator
Using existing Fotofile data, the Agave64 HTML generator will create
pages complete with click-on enlargement capabilities. Compared with
the web page tool found in Photoshop or Bridge you may find this
version less cryptic and easier to implement. Use this tool to
post an
on-line lightbox submission for a client or for general promotion.
Graphic
Capabilities
Agave64 is not an
image editing program but it does have the ability to create good
looking thumbnails and
great looking jpegs up to 1000
pixels on the long side. The size, sharpness and quality is user
adjustable. Use a tiff, psd or jpeg as the source.

Graphic
Management
All external and
in-program generated graphics, including camera raw are fully
synchronized with the Fotofile database. This means you have direct
access to them -- without having to hunt them down in a file browser
or drive search. From this data view, you can
open and edit any image type in your favorite imaging program. Use this
tool to:
- Enter caption and keyword data into
Fotofile and a graphic's metadata fields -- at the same time.
- Edit your raw, reprocess to tiff and
restore the IPTC
info with just a few mouse clicks.
- Regenerate a thumbnail or jpeg
if needed
- Manually link images to Fotofile
using a filebrowser
Graphic
Import Module
This screen capture
illustrates the Graphic Import module in
action. Following is a workflow proposition:
--
Download
your shoot to a desktop folder
--
Do an edit,
process the camera raw files and save them to tiff.
-- From the
Agave graphic import module, browse to the download folder.
-- Enter a prefix
and some descriptive text to use if no caption metadata is found in the
images.
-- Select file types to
include in the import. Typically, camera-raw, tiff and possibly jpeg.
-- Tell
the program to create a
jpeg from the tiff if one doesn't exist.
--
Select
*Execute* and watch the
progress. All file groups that include
a tiff or jpeg are renamed to the destination folder and
archived in the Fotofile and path databases. Other files are ignored.
All source
files remain unchanged.
-- From Fotofile,
locate the
newly imported images and
use the Graphic Management tool to edit the IPTC and
Fotofile captions as needed. The images are now ready for submission
