Avery vs. SlideScribe
AveryTM
Avery labels are generally less expensive and more readily available than the SlideScribe style. They will vary in alignment and are sometimes off center in relation to the page backing.  Because they are higher (1/2 inch), slight variations in vertical alignment will still produce a usable label. There is controversy about the archival properties and the failure of the adhesive after a few years. The developer has experienced no problems in this regard.  Larger Avery labels for medium and large format custom mounts also work fine.

Slide Scribe/ProslideTM
Because of the shorter height (7/16 inch), these labels offer little tolerance for misalignment. But this is generally not a problem because these premium labels are usually dead-center in page alignment from top to bottom with some minor horizontal variation. They are said to be archival with a superior adhesive.

Reusing labels sheets
Agave's leading blank option has allowed us to create perfect "no drift" label reports without having to waste hundreds of labels. In addition, every label design in Agave has its own adjustable alignment property.

Note: Always inspect your label sheets for partially peeled labels before reusing sheets.
